Does the treatment hurt?
Lumecca feels like a quick snap of a rubber band followed by warmth. Most clients find it tolerable, and numbing cream is rarely needed. The cooling tip helps keep the skin comfortable throughout the session.
How many treatments will I need?
Every patient is different, but a series of 2–3 treatments spaced about 4 weeks apart is typically recommended for optimal results.
What should I expect after the treatment?
You may experience mild redness and warmth for a few hours. Pigmented spots will darken and rise to the surface before flaking off within 7–10 days, revealing clearer skin underneath. We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure and applying SPF daily to protect your results.
Is Lumecca safe for all skin types?
Lumecca works best on lighter to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick I–III). For deeper skin tones, alternative treatments may be recommended to avoid risk of pigmentation changes. A consultation will determine if you’re a good candidate.
