Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify in Norman with Heather Franco, APRN

Neurotoxin

At Franco Aesthetics, we offer Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify — three FDA-approved neurotoxins that smooth fine lines and soften expression around the eyes, forehead, and brow. They work by relaxing the targeted muscles that drive dynamic wrinkles from frowning, squinting, and smiling. The goal: you, without the lines you don’t want — never frozen, never overdone.

Led by Heather Franco, APRN, FNP-C — Franco Aesthetics’ owner and lead injector — and our licensed clinical team. Heather sets the clinical standard at Franco Aesthetics and trains every injector on it. The look stays consistent across the team: natural-looking results, never overdone.

Treatment Areas

Neurotoxins work on muscles that drive dynamic wrinkles — the lines that show up when you make expressions. We treat several distinct areas, each with its own dosing and technique. Heather assesses your facial movement and recommends areas during your consultation.

Forehead Lines

Horizontal lines across the forehead from raising your eyebrows. Conservative dosing here matters most — over-treatment causes the dropped-brow look. We dose to smooth, not freeze.

Frown Lines (11s)

The vertical lines between the brows from squinting and concentrating. One of the most-treated areas because results are dramatic and predictable.

Crow’s Feet

The lines that fan out from the outer eye corners when you smile. Softens the lines without changing your smile or eye shape.

Brow Lift

Strategic placement above the brow tail can lift the outer brow 2–3mm — a more refreshed look without surgery. Often paired with crow’s feet treatment.

Lip Flip

A small dose into the upper lip border to relax the muscle and let the lip roll outward — adds visible “pink lip” without filler. Lasts ~6–10 weeks.

Jawline / Masseter

Larger doses into the masseter muscles slim the lower face, soften TMJ clenching and grinding, and create a more tapered jawline. Results build over 4–6 weeks.

Bunny Lines

The diagonal lines on the upper nose that appear when you scrunch. Small finishing treatment that adds polish to forehead and crow’s feet work.

Chin Dimpling

Treats the “orange peel” texture on the chin that comes from an overactive mentalis muscle. Smooths the chin and softens the lower face.

Neck Bands (Platysmal)

Vertical neck bands that show with age and aging-related muscle activity. Softens the visible cording for a smoother neck profile.

What to Expect

1

Consultation + Treatment

15–30 minute visit. We assess your facial movement, discuss what bothers you, and agree on the areas and dosing. Injections take about 10 minutes. No downtime — most patients head back to work or errands immediately.

2

Days 3–14 — Onset

Effects begin in 3–7 days (Dysport is fastest, Botox typical, Daxxify the slowest). Full results land at 14 days. Don’t judge the result before then — we use a 2-week mark as the reference point.

3

Two-Week Check + Touch-Up

If anything needs adjustment — a stubborn fiber, an asymmetry — we touch up at the 2-week visit. After that, expect 3–4 months on Botox/Dysport and 6+ months on Daxxify before you book your next round.

Aftercare: No lying flat or strenuous exercise for 4 hours. No facials, massages, or saunas for 24 hours. Avoid touching or rubbing treated areas. Light makeup is fine right after.

Frequently
Asked
Questions

What can Neurotoxins treat?

Neurotoxin injections are not just for wrinkles — they’re also used to treat: Forehead lines and glabella lines, Crow’s feet, gummy smile or lip flip, Jaw slimming or TMJ relief, Neck bands, Underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis)

Am I a good candidate?

If you’re looking to soften fine lines, prevent deeper wrinkles, and enhance your natural beauty without surgery, Botox or Dysport could be a great option. We’ll tailor the treatment specifically to your needs during your consultation.

Can I combine tox with other treatments?

Yes! Neurotoxin treatments can absolutely be combined with other aesthetic services such as fillers, microneedling, or skin rejuvenation therapies. However, timing is everything—some treatments are best performed on the same day, while others may require spacing out to ensure optimal results and safety.

What is Botox, and what is it best for?
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA, made by AbbVie) is the original FDA-approved cosmetic neurotoxin — approved in 2002 — and the most studied. It relaxes targeted facial muscles to soften dynamic wrinkles like crow’s feet, glabellar frown lines, and forehead lines. Results last 3–4 months with onset in 3–7 days. Predictable, precise, and ideal for smaller treatment zones where targeted placement matters more than spread. It’s the safest baseline for first-time neurotoxin patients.
What is Dysport, and why is it your most popular toxin?
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxinA, made by Galderma) was FDA-approved in 2009. It’s the most-requested neurotoxin at Franco Aesthetics. Patients tend to prefer it for two reasons: it kicks in faster than Botox (visible results in 2–3 days vs. 3–7 for Botox) and its formulation spreads slightly more per injection point, which makes it well-suited for larger areas like the forehead. Duration is similar to Botox (3–4 months). One note on pricing: Dysport is dosed in different units than Botox (roughly 2.5 Dysport units to 1 Botox unit), so per-unit pricing looks lower but the per-treatment total is comparable.
What is Daxxify, and how is it different?
Daxxify (daxibotulinumtoxinA, made by Revance) is the newest of the three — FDA-approved in September 2022. It lasts 6+ months on average, with some patients reporting up to 9 months — roughly twice as long as Botox or Dysport. It’s also the only FDA-approved neurotoxin formulated without human serum albumin or animal-derived stabilizers — instead it uses Revance’s proprietary peptide technology, which some studies suggest binds more efficiently to nerve receptors. Daxxify is best for patients who want fewer appointments per year and have already established their treatment plan elsewhere.
How much does Botox cost at Franco Aesthetics?
A typical first-time treatment runs 20–40 units depending on the area. We don’t quote final prices online because we’d be guessing — your consultation gives you exact numbers before anything happens. VIP members get 15% off all services. Details on the Membership page.
Will Botox make me look frozen?
Not the way we do it. Heather trains every injector here on a softer-touch standard — relax the muscle without flattening expression. The goal is “you, but rested.” If you’ve seen overdone Botox somewhere, that’s usually too many units in too few injection points. We dose conservatively the first time and adjust at your two-week follow-up.
Does it hurt?
Not really. The needle is tiny, and most patients say it feels like a quick pinch. The whole appointment is 15–20 minutes. We use ice or numbing on request, but most people don’t bother.
How long does Botox last?
Three to four months for Botox and Dysport. Six months or longer for Daxxify. Results last longer the more consistently you treat — first-time patients sometimes notice slightly shorter durations because the muscles haven’t adapted yet.
How quickly will I see results?
Dysport starts working in 2–3 days. Botox takes 3–7 days to fully kick in. Daxxify is similar to Botox. Plan your treatment at least two weeks before any event you want results for, and we’ll see you back at the two-week mark to fine-tune anything that needs it.
Who performs the injections?
Heather Franco, APRN, FNP-C, leads our injectable program — she’s the owner of Franco Aesthetics and our lead injector. The clinical team performs treatments to the standard Heather sets and trains them on. Whoever you see at your appointment, the approach and results stay consistent.
What should I avoid after my appointment?
For 4 hours: no lying flat, no rubbing the treated area, no exercise, no alcohol. For 24 hours: skip the sauna, hot yoga, and any face-down massages. Otherwise, you can go straight back to your day — most patients schedule injections on a lunch break.
